Prince Albert Police Service responded to the 1200 block of 28th Street East to assist Parkland Ambulance who was responding to a man who was not conscious and not breathing.

Police handled a variety of calls during the long weekend.

The homicide victim is 28-year-old Andy McKenzie of the La Ronge area.

Emergency crews were called to the incident just after 7 p.m. on Friday night.

Officers handled multiple sensitive incidents overnight, including four attempted suicides, two family disputes with violence, and one mental health incident.

Police determined that a confrontation had occurred at around 8 a.m. on Aug. 30 between two men.
