REGINA - Regina Police are reporting that two people have been charged in connection to a robbery on Jan. 15 in the city.
The two individuals, one a 19 year old male and the other an 18 year old male, made their first appearance in provincial court this morning in Regina. One is charged with two counts of robbery and failure to comply with conditions of a release order, while the other also is charged with two counts of robbery as well as fail to comply with conditions of a undertaking.
According to Regina Police Service, on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at approximately 7:10 p.m., police were sent to the 3100 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a robbery.
The initial indication was that the initial indication was the victim was threatened with a knife and had items stolen. Soon after police received a second call about two men threatening another victim.
Police say that officers began a canine track which led to the location of one man who matched the suspect description. He was arrested without incident; a search of the area turned up stolen items and also a knife. The other suspect was located soon after.
