REGINA – Officers on patrol noticed a stolen vehicle matching the description of one on their radar. Just before midnight on Jan. 15, police observed the silver Honda Civic around Pasqua Street and Fourth Avenue.
“Knowing that there had been a silver Honda Civic reported stolen, the officers compared the license plate information and confirmed they were looking at the stolen vehicle,” said RPS. “The driver dropped off a passenger, giving the officers time to radio a description of the driver. The vehicle then turned northbound from Fourth onto Lewvan Drive.”
Police later found the car abandoned in the area of First Avenue and King Street, but noticed a person matching the driver’s description walking away.
Kady Janelle Fayant, 25, of Regina was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. She was released on an undertaking and will make a first appearance on Feb. 23.
