REGINA – One man is facing child pornography charges after investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.
“On Oct. 17, members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Regina that was identified as the location where the offences were occurring,” said Saskatoon Police Service in a media release. “Electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis.”
The investigation saw Steven John Pearce, 54, being charged on Dec. 13 with one count of possession of child pornography. He was released from custody on conditions, with a subsequent court date set for Jan. 30, 2023.
The ICE Unit is made up of members from various provincial policing entities, including the RCMP, RPS, SPS and Prince Albert Police Service.
