SASKATOON — Members of the Saskatoon Crime Reduction Team have concluded a drug trafficking investigation with the arrest of multiple persons and the execution of a search warrant.
At around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, the Saskatoon Crime Reduction Team, with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, initiated enforcement action on a 38-year-old man believed to be trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl. He was arrested while riding a bicycle at the intersection of King Street and 5th Avenue North. A search warrant was subsequently executed at an address in the 500 block of 3rd Avenue North where officers located and arrested two additional men and a woman.
The following evidentiary seizures were made:
- 90.8 grams of purple/pink fentanyl
- 10.9 grams methamphetamine
- 17x hydromorph contin pills
- $80 CAD
- Assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking
As a result, three men, age 38, 33, and 33 are facing various charges relating to drug trafficking and possessing the proceeds of crime under $5,000. Outstanding warrants for resisting arrest and possession of a weapon were also executed against one of the 33-year-old men upon his arrest. The 30-year-old woman was released without charges.
