REGINA - Regina Police Service are reporting they have concluded a police operation in the area of Mathieu Crescent.
The police operation took place overnight, but there is no information from police at this time about what was the result of it. It is also not clear whether this police operation is connected to the investigation of four homicides on Carry the Kettle First Nation, or a firearm-related incident at Zagime yesterday.
In an earlier news release, police had advised that this "is an ongoing, dynamic situation and the safety of the public and police is of the utmost importance."
People in that area had been advised at that time "to shelter in place and ensure all doors are locked. It is important the public refrain from posting or broadcasting photo or video on social media, which could interfere with the active investigation. Please avoid the area until further notice."
