SASKATOON – A 36-year-old Saskatoon man is facing weapons charges after a concerned citizen told police he saw a man put a firearm into a duffle bag in public Tuesday afternoon.
A Saskatoon police officer was approached about the incident at about 8:30 p.m. on June 27 in the 900 block of 22nd Street West. Police located the suspect nearby and arrested him without incident. On him, police found and seized several rounds of assorted ammunition, two loaded magazines, an imitation firearm, and a large hunting knife.
