BALGONIE – The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploration Unit arrested an 18-year-old Balgonie man on child pornography charges.
According to a media release from the Saskatoon Police Service, the ICE Unit began their investigation on Oct. 13, 2022, executing a search warrant in the Balgonie area. Through their investigation, electronic devices were also seized for further examination.
Seth Harlan Saunderson was charged on Feb. 8 with possession of child pornography, make available child pornography, and accessing child pornography.
“He was released from custody on numerous conditions until his next court date,” SPS said, adding he is scheduled to appear on March 8.
The ICE Unit is made up of investigators from across the province, combining the skills of Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, SPS, and Prince Albert Police Service. The mandate of the specialized unit is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and exploitation of children on the internet.
