B & E's, ATM thefts in Central Sask. may be connected: RCMP

A series of break and enters in Leader, Burstall, and Eatonia may be connected, say Kindersley and Leader RCMP.

The other was wearing light coloured-cargo pants with a dark sweater, as well as a baseball cap with glasses resting on the rim of the hat. Both suspects had their faces covered by balaclavas and were wearing gloves, possibly welding gloves. They were driving a black Chevrolet Avalanche. 

CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN – A series of break and enters in Leader, Burstall, and Eatonia may be connected, say Kindersley and Leader RCMP, who are now asking the public to report all information about the incidents to them.

Leader RCMP investigate two thefts

Two thefts, including the theft of an ATM machine, are being investigated by Leader RCMP.

On July 3, Leader RCMP received a report of an alarm activated at a business north of Leader. The initial police investigation determined that at approximately 5 a.m., a business was broken into and coins were stolen.

Three days later, on July 6, Leader RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter at a business in Burstall. Police say two suspects damaged the exterior of the business, broke in and stole an ATM, cash, a quantity of cigarettes and a brass till.

The ATM was recovered by police west of Burstall later that day. It had no cash inside when recovered.

Kindersley RCMP investigate ATM theft

On July 15, Kindersley RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter at a business in Eatonia. At approximately 3:40 a.m., a male suspect damaged the exterior wall of the business, broke in and stole an ATM, the cash inside of it, and a quantity of cigarettes. The suspect had his face covered and was wearing light-coloured gloves, possibly welding gloves. He was also driving a black Chevrolet Avalanche.

A portion of the ATM was later recovered by police north of Eatonia later that day. It had no cash inside when recovered.

Leader and Kindersley RCMP continue to actively investigate these break-and-enters. Anyone with information, or who recognizes the vehicle or suspect, should contact their local detachment immediately by dialling 310-RCMP.
