Yorkton Chamber elects executive

The Chamber is celebrating its 127th year in 2025.

The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce’s Board is currently comprised of 16 elected members.

YORKTON - The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce elected its 2025 Executive at the January Board of Directors meeting. 

The Chamber’s Board is currently comprised of 16 elected members, who in turn, elect the Executive.

Sunil Shah, CPA CA was acclaimed to the position of President having served in that role in 2024. He is serving the first year of his third term as a Chamber Director.

Shah said that 2025 will be an active year for the Chamber. 

“The board will be engaging with our elected representatives who serve on the city, provincial and federal orders of government,” he said. “We will advocate for our members to ensure we have a positive and prosperous business environment in which to attract investment as expansion and growth are vital to the city and area.”

Joining Shah on the Executive are Mike Stackhouse as Vice President and Chair of the Policy Committee;

Bob Knox as Chair of the Business Development Committee; and Stephanie Buckle and Kristen Weber will serve as Co-Chairs of both the Events and Marketing & Communications Committees.

Prior to the meeting, Mayor Aaron Kienle conducted the Installation of Directors whereby the directors affirmed the values and principles by which they will conduct themselves.

The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce is “the voice of the Yorkton and district business community” and represents more than 420 members. 

The Chamber is celebrating its 127th year in 2025.
