YORKTON - The Snowball Classic basketball tourney was hosted by Yorkton Regional High School and Sacred Heart High School this week.
Participating teams included hosts YRHS and Sacred Heart, along with North Battleford Comprehensive, Meadow Lake, Moose Jaw Central, Moose Jaw Vanier, Estevan, Norquay, Melville, Lumsden, Wynyard, and Indian Head.
The tournament featured four pools of three teams competing in a round-robin format Friday. Friday’s results determined the three playoff pools for Saturday.
Final results:
• Pool C Final: Melville defeated Lumsden.
• Pool B Final: Indian Head topped Moose Jaw Central.
• Pool A Final: Wynyard defeated YRHS.
The weekend showcased exciting and competitive basketball in a fantastic atmosphere with strong fan support at both gyms.
