YORKTON – Update: SaskEnergy is managing the situation and has advised the City of Yorkton that the area is now safe and everyone affected can return to their houses, according to the City of Yorkton Facebook page.
SaskEnergy will continue to monitor the scene and provide updates if necessary, continued the post.
Please stay away from the immediate scene to allow crews to clean up the area.
YORKTON – A gas leak has been detected near this morning’s structure fire at 406 Riverview Road, according to a Facebook post from the City of Yorkton.
Fire crews are currently evacuating affected houses in the area. For those outside of the immediate area exercise caution. Police and Fire Services have blocked off access to the site, please avoid the area and use an alternate route, continued the post.
