The Town of Preeceville Canada 150 committee has announced a tentative schedule for events during the Canada 150 celebrations. The events are planned for August 4 to 6, said Agnes Murrin, one of the organizers.

The Studio Dance One club members presented its annual spring recital to the theme, 鈥淗ollywood Walk of Fame鈥� at the Sturgis Composite High School on April 23.

The Gateway Co-op held its annual information meetings in Preeceville at the Ukrainian Catholic Hall on April 19 and in Canora at the Rainbow Hall on April 18. The supper portion in Preeceville was catered by the Preeceville Ukrainian Catholic women.

Because the month of April was declared Daffodil Month by the Canadian Cancer Society, volunteers have been busy delivering and selling bright, yellow daffodils to help raise money to support the fight against cancer, according to the society鈥檚 websi

In March the Good Spirit School Division (GSSD) released its Strategic Plan Report which included information about initiatives and programs within the school division, as well as updates and achievements within the division.

The Preeceville branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, is once again teaching students valuable lessons in gun safety. The firearm safety course, which began April 1, was held at the Preeceville School and will conclude April 25.

鈥淧reeceville Minor Baseball is gearing up for another great season," said Shannon Nelson, organizer. The club hosted a registration evening at the Preeceville School on April 3. The age groups range from T-ball to bantams.

The Preeceville and District Ministerial Association sponsored the Holy Week noon hour paper bagged lunch services which began from April 10 to April 13. There were a total of four services held at the Preeceville Trinity United Church.
