Twenty-five volleyball teams will meet in Yorkton over the weekend to participate in the 18 & Under Women's Saskatchewan Volleyball Association (SVA) SASK Cup 2 tournament. The McSweeney Selects club will be the hosts.

The McSweeney's Selects girls volleyball team is getting set to host a tournament this weekend. The 18 & Under Women's SVA (Saskatchewan Volleyball Association) SASK Cup 2 will be played at the Gloria Hayden Centre and the Flexihall.

The Yorkton Blitz 16 and Under volleyball team did fairly well over the weekend. Going into the tournament, Bryce Krawetz, coach of the host team in the weekend's tournament, said he had high hopes for his girls.

Springer's Gymnastics

The Springer's Gymnastics team held their annual Invitational gymnastics meet over the weekend at the Sacred Heart High School. Almost 250 gymnasts were involved in competitive and recreational gymnastics.
Bantams beat the Battlefords

Bantams beat the Battlefords

The bantam Terriers outlasted the Battlefords Barons by an 8-7 goal margin over the weekend. Game one finished in a 2-1 Yorkton win. Game two ended in a 6-6 tie giving Yorkton the 8-7 goal advantage and the win.

Maddin makes it two in a row

Kelly Maddin's getting good at this. Two appearances in provincial finals and two wins to show for it. Sunday afternoon at the Yorkton Kinsmen Arena was a good place to be wearing orange.
