It was quite the week for the Yorkton R. Miller's Midget 'AA' Cardinals.

A total of 10 records fell this past week during the ECDAA track meet with six of them being set by Yorkton athletes. Jaden Porte of the YRHS broke the 800 metre run record in the senior category with a sparkling time of 1:57.

The Yorkton Yankees are now 4-1 thanks to a pair of wins, 6-0 over the Yorkton Orioles at home on Wednesday, May 28, and 6-3 over the West Parkland Stars on Sunday. On Wednesday the Yankees got yet another solid start from ace Logan Calanchie.

Three separate Yorkton United soccer teams took part in the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association 2014 Children's Hospital Tournament this past weekend.

The Yorkton Cardinals have embarked on another Western Major Baseball League season, and are 2-1 after three games. Coach John McVey is "absolutely" satisfied with the team's first weekend.

The Yorkton United FC U24 soccer team traveled to Saskatoon this past weekend for their first two games as members of the Saskatchewan Premier Soccer League (SPSL).
