Joey Palagian of Canora helped Team Saskatchewan win it's third straight Canada Cup championship, a 13-1 victory over Alberta.

Yorkton U11 AA Cardinals won the provincial championship final Sunday afternoon over the defending champions, Weyburn Beavers 19-16.

YORKTON – Three teams from the Yorkton United Football Club won gold at the SaskTel S4L 11-Aside Provincials held on July 8-10 in Saskatoon.

Three Yorkton athletes competed for team Saskatchewan.

The team will head to Fredericton, N.B. for the national U18 championship Sept. 2-4, to compete for the First Nations Cup. The U15 Alumni Cup will be contested at the same time.

In game two, a mid-afternoon affair, the Expos started as hot as the weather scoring five runs in the first inning, and adding one in the second before the Giants managed to respond.

The Expo offence was hot in one game, goes cold in the next.

The Expos are in Saskatoon today, (July 17), at McCourt Park to play another doubleheader, facing first the Saskatoon Blue Jays and then the Athletics.
