Hockey teams from across Saskatchewan聽 and Manitoba went head-to-head at the Kinsmen Arena over the weekend as they vied for glory in the 2018 Yorkton Midget Tier Two Tournament.
Local teams the Yorkton RE/MAX and the Yorkton Snap-On Tools mixed it up with the Tisdale Ramblers, the Saskatoon Aces, the Winnipegosis Tigers, the Regina Buffalos, the Hague Royals, and the Weyburn Red Wings over a series of games.
The tournament ran from Jan. 26 to Jan. 28. Each team played three games as they advanced through the bracket.
In the 鈥淒鈥� group final, the Snap-On Tools defeated the Tigers four to three.
In the 鈥淐鈥� group final, the Yorkton RE/MAX team overcame the Royals with a score of four to three.
The Buffalos scored five goals to the Red Wings four in the 鈥淏鈥� group final.
The Aces dominated the Ramblers nine to two in the 鈥淎鈥� group final.
