On Saturday and Sunday, February first and second, Yorkton Martial Arts Training Centre (YMATC) students took part in a Masters Seminar Series in Melville.
The three seminars covered Chen Taiji application taught by Master Ronnie Yee, Philipino Stick and Knife defense taught by Grandmaster Gil Lafantaisie and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu taught by professors Joe Bossenberry and Chris Desautels.
Local instructors Mike Forster and Tim Oehler both received their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belts at the end of the seminars.
The students from YMATC will host the tenth annual Abominable Snow Slam Open Martial Arts tournament on March first at Dr. Brass.
