Terriers hand out end of year awards

The Yorkton Terriers held their end of year awards banquet after the most successful season of Terriers hockey in the history of the club this past Friday at the Gallagher Centre's Nexera Flexihall.


The Yorkton Terriers held their end of year awards banquet after the most successful season of Terriers hockey in the history of the club this past Friday at the Gallagher Centre's Nexera Flexihall.

In total, 19 awards were issued on Friday, meaning that many Terrier players would wrap up their incredibly successful campaign with yet some more hardware.

The Award winners are as follows:

Three Star Award (donated by Subway): Third star - Kale Thomson, Second Star - Tayler Thompson, First Star - Brett Boehm.

Scholastic Award (donated by Yorkton Terrier Hockey Club) - Devon McMullen.

Dedicated and Serves Community (Ed Ruf Memorial) - Dylan Johnson.

Mr. Personality - Jamie Standish Memorial - Kailum Gervais

Most Gentlemanly (Yorkton Terrier Hockey Club) - Tyler Giebel.

Unsung Hero (donated by Park's Jewellery) - Josh Ellis.

Most Popular (Amos Border Memorial) - Tayler Thompson.

Mr. Hustle (donated by Yorkton Co-op) - Brady Norrish.

Rookie of the Year (donated by Dr. Roodt) - Jordon Ross and Tyson Enzie.

Most Improved (Schoenroths & Wolfe Memorial) - Dallas Rossiter.

Top Scorer for Regular Season (donated by Yorkton Terrier Hockey Club) - Brett Boehm.

Playoff Top Scorer (donated by The Fox/GX94) - Brett Boehm.

Playoff MVP (donated by GX 94): Notre Dame Series - Derek Falloon; Humboldt Series - Chase Norrish; Melville Series - Kale Thomson; WCC - Brett Boehm; RBC - Derek Falloon.

Coaches Award (The Josh Campbell Memorial Trophy) - Tyler Giebel.

Most Valuable Defenseman (donated by Yorkton Terrier Hockey Club) - Chase Norrish.

Most Valuable Player (Guy Lamb Memorial Trophy) - Chase Norrish and Kale Thomson.
