Yorkton KidSport is hosting the 3rd Annual Stix Street Hockey Tournament in Yorkton presented by Superstore and Richardson. The tournament will take place on May 3, 2014 in the Kinsmen Arena parking lot. Stix is a fun co-ed adult street hockey tournament to help raise money for Yorkton KidSport. If you are interested in putting in a team or becoming a sponsor for this event contact the local KidSport committee. Teams have until April 17 to register.
KidSport™ is a children's charity dedicated to assisting children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sport programs. The obvious need for KidSport™ in Yorkton continues to grow. Social and economic obstacles prevent these young people from participating in sport and receiving its significant benefits. In 2013, Yorkton KidSport™ helped reduce barriers for families by allocating over $38,000 to local sport organizations to assist with children's registration fees.
