The Yorkton Terriers are coming off a 4-3 loss in Weyburn on Sunday evening. The loss has Yorkton in second place. The Weyburn win gives them a comfortable lead on Yorkton for first place in the Sherwood Conference.


The Yorkton Terriers are coming off a 4-3 loss in Weyburn on Sunday evening. The loss has Yorkton in second place. The Weyburn win gives them a comfortable lead on Yorkton for first place in the Sherwood Conference. The Terriers next date comes tonight when they play host to the Nipawin Hawks, who sit in fifth place in the Bauer Conference. On Friday and Saturday night's, it's the second home-and-home series of the new year with the Melville Millionaires. On Friday, they play here, on Saturday, they head to Melville.


The Yorkton Harvest took a couple losses in a home-and-home series with the Notre Dame Hounds over the weekend. This weekend, they play a two-game homestand with the Prince Albert Mintos. Head coach Jeff Odgers said there will be at least two new faces in the lineup. Games are Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 21 is the date for the Saskatchewan Roughrider Hockey Challenge. The game will be held at the Kinsmen Arena at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are available for $5 each at Farrell Agencies in Yorkton as well as York Sask Drycleaners and Herbal Magic. (See related story on this page). Some of the Riders who are scheduled to play are Weston Dressler, Jason Clermont and Ryan Getzlaf.
