Over 20 teams, 13 local and seven from out of town, participated in the sixth annual Seniors Bonspiel held at the Yorkton Curling Rink from January 19-24.

Over 20 teams, 13 local and seven from out of town, participated in the sixth annual Seniors Bonspiel held at the Yorkton Curling Rink from January 19-24.

The week consisted of many close curling matches with the finals being played Friday afternoon, followed by a banquet, a dance and an awards program at the Gallagher Convention Centre.

The Curt Orth rink from Langenburg clinched the 'A' Event by defeating the hometown Dave Zebeetnoff rink from Yorkton.

The Len Chicoine rink from Yorkton took home the 'B' Event by beating the Alex Novak rink from Saltcoats.

Saltcoats curlers gained a measure of revenge over Yorkton curlers in the 'C' Event however, as Al Ellingboe's Saltcoats rink ousted the Yorkton-based Alan Flavel rink to win the 'C' side.

The Lorne Fruin rink defeated the Karen Thies team in an all Yorkton 'D' Event final to round out the week of curling.

The Yorkton Curling Club would like to offer their congratulations to all curlers who participated!
