Saints have strong showing at cross-country provincials

The S.H.H.S. Saints cross-country team competed at the SHSAA provincials in Turtleford last weekend, and they had some strong results. They had three athletes who finished in the top 30 of their respective categories.

The S.H.H.S. Saints cross-country team competed at the SHSAA provincials in Turtleford last weekend, and they had some strong results. They had three athletes who finished in the top 30 of their respective categories.

Logan Rohatensky had the best personal finish of the team. He came in tenth in the midget boys race.

Behind Rohatensky was Andriy Usan, who finished 29th in the midget boys race.Kaitlyn Klemetski finished twelfth place in the junior girls race.

Coach Rachel Sterzuk said she was expecially proud of Rohatensky鈥檚 finish since there were 110 runners in that category.聽

鈥淭hat is a tough category and Logan ran very well,鈥 she said.聽

The coach said is was a very cold day, and a very hilly course which was a challenge for the runners.聽

Overall, Sacred Heart placed fifth in the 3A schools category with 85 points. Weyburn Comprehensive School took first place in that division.聽
