Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) held it's annual winter/spring sports awards banquet recently.
Many athletes took home prestigious awards, from Rookie of the Year through to MVP.
Madison Butchko, Austin Walkington, Brody Kormos, Kade Johnson and Justine Zarowny all took home the Rookie of the Year awards.
Hailey Vitkauskas, Ben Fetsch, Tannum Wyonzek, Colbie Sherring
Justine Zarowny, Oksana Yakichuk, JilliAnn Sawatsky, Emmerson Tourand and Lauren Maier were recipients of the Most Improved Player award.
Reed Wishnevetski, Jared Buzinski, Tanner Kinaschuk, Hanna Hansen, Lexi Guy, Kyle Taphorn and Christian Smith were named Saint Sebastian Award winners, while Justine Zarowny, Nathan Pidperyhora, Jonah Sutter, Jared Buzinski, Ben Fetsch, Rita Fetsch, Allison Kruger, Caleb Sutter, Nathan Cochrane and Zach Goulden-Maddin all received an award for Greatest Contribution to Sport.
The most prestigious awards issued on the night, the Most Valuable Player awards, were handed out to back Austin Walkington, Noah Clarke, Justin Guy, Jonah Sutter, Corin Heim, Debbie Ojo, Riana Skikewich, Lexi Guy, Justine Zarowny, Carter Ruff and Brendan Griffith.
The staff at SHHS would like to congratulate all award winners and thank them for a wonderful sports season.
They would also like to wish the graduating athletes the best of luck in their future endeavours.
