Riders, Grey Cup coming to Yorkton

Fifteen members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, as well as the Grey Cup, will be visiting the city of Yorkton on Friday, January 17.

The Grey Cup will be on display in the City ofYorkton on Friday at the Yorkton Co-op Food Store.


Fifteen members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, as well as the Grey Cup, will be visiting the city of Yorkton on Friday, January 17.

Riders players that are tentatively scheduled to make an appearance are Saskatchewan native Brendon LaBatte, as well as explosive running back and 101st Grey Cup MVP Kory Sheets, Carlos Thomas, Jordan Cisco, Chris Milo, Paul Woldu, Diamond Ferri, Dwight Anderson, Neal Hughes, Mike McCullough, Rey Williams, Dan Clark, Taj Smith, Tearrius George and Macho Harris.

The Grey Cup and the players will be at the Yorkton Co-op Food Store located at 30 Argyle St. from 2:30p.m. - 4:00p.m.

The Riders will then take a break for some supper before taking on the YRHS Senior Raider boys basketball team, as well as some friends, in an exhibition basketball game starting at 7:00p.m at the YRHS gym.

Admission will be free, however there will be a silver collection at the door with all proceeds raised going directly to Yorkton KidSport.
