The Yorkton RawTec Maulers played three preseason games this week. The first was an at-home game last Friday night at the Farrell Agencies Arena. The Maulers faced the Parkland Rangers of the Manitoba midget AAA league, but took a loss in the first match up at home. The following night they faced the Rangers again in Manitoba, but the Maulers took that win. To switch things up for that game, the Maulers coaches stepped away from the bench and handed their team over to Yorkton’s Midget AA coaching staff.
Sunday saw the Maulers face off against the Regina Pat Canadians of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League. The Pat Canadians took the win 5-1.Â
The games featured the team’s young guns and rookies, to give them a taste at what the league is like.Â
The Maulers will play another regular season game at the Farrell Agencies Arena on Saturday, Sept. 16 against the Tisdale Trojans. The puck will drop at 2 p.m.Â
