April 28 should be a marked date on the calendars of every football fan in and around the Yorkton area.

The Yorkton Minor Football Association has got a lot planned for one day at the end of the month.

The day begins over at the Flexihall where young football players, ranging in age from 8-9 to the high school seniors, gather together to learn the finer points of the game from members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Yorkton Minor Football (YMF) president Roby Sharpe said it should be a good day.

He said there is still lots of room.

Those interested in being part of it are encouraged to contact Mike Kozushka at Herbal Magic regarding registering for the event. Kozushka can be reached at 641-7886. Among the pros scheduled to be on hand include Chris Best, Dan Clark, and quarterback Darian Durant, explains Sharpe. Later that same day, former YRHS and Roughrider cheerleader Brittany Theis will be holding her annual cheerleading camp at MC Knoll Elementary School. Sharpe says the tables have been sold out, however there is a possibility of one last opening. Inquire by calling 786-5569.
