MC Knoll beats MC Knoll in girls' action

The girls' 'B' final in the Yorkton Elementary Schools Sports Association (YESSA) was played between the MC Knoll Triple Threat and the MC Knoll Smashers. They had to play a third and deciding set, which the Triple Threat won as well, 15-10.

They had to play a third and deciding set, which the Triple Threat won as well, 15-10.

The team includes Jennifer Haczkewicz, Kortney Seidler-Morgan, Hannah Seymour, Cassidy Banga, Jessica Sorsdahl, Sawyere Dilworth, Kaylen Adams, Kelsey Haczkewicz, Meagan Flunder and coaches Donna Phillippi and Cara Shabatoski.

Phillippi said they stuck together and managed to play as a team and it payed off in the end.

"We (herself and co-coach Cara Shabatoski) sat down with them and agreed that we support them (the team)," she said after the win over the MC Knoll Smashers.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

"We practice together with the other team all the time," she told the paper. "Overall, we played really well. Phillippi said the team faced some adversity "in our final game" with St. Mike's and commended Jessica Sorsdahl who "played every position".
