Members of the Yorkton Wildlife Federation received two awards from the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation at the 88th annual convention. SWF provincial president Heath Dreger presents Yorkton Wildlife Federation vice president Derek Little with the Ed Begin Conservation Project Award, which is presented annually to a club which has successfully developed a fish or wildlife project.  YWF recently partnered with the City of Yorkton, Water Security Agency and Assiniboine Watershed Stewardship Association to develop and operate the Logan Green Trout pond situated east of the Yorkton water treatment plant. Dreger also presents Yorkton Wildlife Federation executive member Barry Signarowski with the Clayton Young Memorial Award.  It is presented annually to one individual from each of the SWF’s six regions in recognition of long standing volunteerism and service to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation.
