During the 2012 SaskPower Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Chantelle Eberle was among the rinks competing for the top prize in that tournament.

Eberle's third, Saltcoats' Nancy Inglis, said the experience of being in Humboldt for the provincials was fantastic.

She added that her team's weakest game, in which they had the challenge of bringing down the tournament favourite Stephanie Lawton-was a part of Inglis' "strongest at provincials" she said over the telephone with Yorkton This Week.

Inglis and her team came out of the round robin tied with Meadow Lake's Robyn Silvernagle, both with records of 3-2.

Lawton finished the round robin at 4-1, all three rinks competed out of pool 'A'.

Michelle Englot, who went on to win the tournament, beat everyone in their round robin.

Inglis said afterwards that most of the scoring was fairly tight.

"The games were fairly tight. At that level, you would expect that."

Most teams that she played against were evenly matched, she added. Inglis said playing Lawton was probably the biggest challenge her team faced, going against one of the tournament favourites.

Inglis said the reception they got from the curling fans in Humboldt was something she likely won't be forgetting.

"Humboldt is such a great tournament," she said, adding she's never been at a women's provincials where they had such a goos turnout.

Inglis said that Humboldt's curling facility is similar to Yorkton's setup.
