With a 4-3 win over the visiting Tisdale Trojans, the Harvest added their third win of the season one week ago tonight (Oct. 26).

Jake McMillen opened the scoring and Jaden Kreklewich added two goals two-and-a-half minutes apart to give the Harvest a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Dakota Odgers, Lynnden Pastachak, Brayden Park, Josh Lees and Devin McGonigal all had assists in the first period.

Harvest head coach Jeff Odgers agreed that the win was an example of how the team, which is loaded with rookies, can play when they put their minds to it.

"I think so," Odgers replied, adding that over the past week and a half or so, scoring has been the main focus at team practices.

"We have had lots of shots," he added over the past several weeks.

Tisdale made a bit of a comeback in the middle frame, scoring twice (Ty McLean and Dylan Frey).

Both teams exchanged goals in the third.

Odgers pointed out that the quality of goaltenders in the AAA league has been improving, therefore calling for more shots during practices and team scrimmages.

Goaltender Teryn Phaneuf stopped 31 of 34 shots in the game for his second win of the season.

Yorkton's next game goes this Sunday when they travel to Wilcox to play the Notre Dame Argos, who hold a 6-3 record for 12 points in the league standings.

Against Notre Dame on Sunday, Odgers expects to go with Spencer Bomboir, adding that he looks to "continue to go back and forth" with his two netminders.

The Harvest played a road game in Wilcox against the Argos and came up short in a 5-1 loss.

They will remain playing away games this weekend when they head to Moose Jaw this Saturday to take on the Moose Jaw Generals. Saturday's game goes at 7 p.m., and Sunday's game starts at 1:30 p.m.

Yorkton is also on the road a week from tomorrow (Nov. 10) when they head to Saskatoon to take on the Contacts. They return home on Nov. 16.
