The Yorkton Harvest visited Regina over the weekend and on the strength of six power play goals and 20 shots on goal in the third frame, skated to an 8-6 victory at the Al Ritchie Arena.

In a game head coach Jeff Odgers termed a "shootout", Yorkton trailed 3-2 after one period and 4-2 after two periods.

Then in the third period, poured it on like Cheez Whiz on broccoli.

"It went well," offered Odgers following their return to Yorkton.

"It was exciting," he added, noting that it was fun to be a part of a third period where Yorkton outscored the opposition by 6-2 and finished the game going 6-18 on the man advantage.

Yorkton scored six times on 20 shots. Odgers admitted it was a really good period to watch everything go right on the ice.

"Well, it is," he responded.

"We started (the third) on the power play.

Most of them (goals) were on the power play."

He noted that it was something that a lot of guys really wanted in order to gain some confidence, Odgers suggested, noting that a few Harvest skaters recorded multi-goal performances.

Dakota Odgers had three goals, two came back-to-back in the final frame. He also had an assist.

Devin McGonigal also had a three-goal performance. Jake McMillen and Blake McMillen each had a goal and assist.

Nicholas Pouliot and Tanner Lesann each had two assists.

"A couple of guys got some confidence," observed Odgers.
