So, what is 鈥榞oat yoga鈥?

It鈥檚 simply yoga, with goats!

An instructor leads a class through various classic yoga poses and moves; all while small goats pick and poke their way around those taking part.聽

It works well with goats since they are such friendly and curious animals.

Wendy Nesseth was the instructor of goat yoga at the fair. She said it was her very first time being involved with goat yoga, and she鈥檇 be instructing the class every day of the fair - barring any injuries she joked.聽

鈥淚鈥檝e been teaching yoga for many years,鈥 she said. 鈥淲hat made me want to do [goat yoga]? Actually, YouTube. There鈥檚 some really fun videos of goat yoga.鈥

She said she鈥檚 also a major animal lover.

鈥淎nimals are always in the present moment, so yoga is all about being present with what is and present with the sensations in your body, and animals are so good at that.鈥澛

After her first session, Nesseth said it was a 鈥減retty neat experience.鈥

Those who were interested in participating just had to show up with their own yoga mat, and an interest in animals. 聽
