The Yorkton Pee Wee Work Wearhouse Terriers are among the local hockey teams who are fighting it out to add to their credentials.

There have been several teams from the Yorkton Minor Hockey Association who have earned championship banners in the past several weeks.

Tammy Biblow, team manager for the Mark's Work Wearhouse filed a report to the paper about her team travelling to Roblin on April 3 for the third and final game in the Major Hockey League A-side championship.

Yorkton beat the undefeated Roblin Stars on March 28th in front of a packed home crowd by a score of 9-7; then lost an exciting back and forth game in Roblin on March 29th. They are hoping to finish off this incredible season with the league championship.

Round three, had to face two other Yorkton teams to get to this point. They beat Century 21 in two straight games and then Petro-Canada, in three games.

Biblow said that Nathan Pidpryhora, the team's goaltender has been rock solid and will have to come up with another solid performance yet again.

"We have some really good offence, too," she said.

Nathan can also handle the pressure, she said. There are eight second-year players on Yorkton that are going to have to step up in the final game in Roblin. Biblow said their rink is a little wider and that could present a challenge to the Terriers. Roblin has done well too, this season, she said.
