The Terriers earned the finals berth by knocking out the Swift Current 聽Pee Wee A Broncos Sunday.

However, game one of the two-game total goal series was held March 11, in Swift Current, with Yorkton returning with a 4-1 win.

The Terriers had two goals from Mathew Herzog and singles by Joey Zarowny and Nikolas Gordon.

Game two at the Farrell Agencies Arena saw Yorkton win 4-2, for a two-game margin of 8-3.

The Terriers had two goals from Gordon and singkes from Herzog and Zarowny.

鈥淲e鈥檝e got a really balanced team,鈥 said Yorkton coach Jason Gordon. 鈥淚t really showed in how we played the 120-minute game.鈥

Gordon said that was a key, focusing not on each game as individual efforts, but as a two-game set.

The win Sunday was especially satisfying, said Gordon, because the team stayed focus in unfamiliar surroundings.

鈥淭here was comfort, fear and passion,鈥 he said, noting his young players typically go to the Farrell Agencies Arena to watch their local heroes play, not play a big game in front of a good-sized crowd for a Pee Wee game.

Game one of the two-game total goal final will be at the Farrell Agencies Arena Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m., with game two in Warman.聽
