The 2011 golf schedule has been released by Deer Park Municipal golf course and includes 12 dates to mark on your calendars. The season has just started and the first date to mark is May 27 for the 20th Annual Richie Hall classic.

The season has just started and the first date to mark is May 27 for the 20th Annual Richie Hall classic. Allan Sauser, head golf pro at Deer Park said the day could involve several members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. More details to be released later. Over 150 participants are expected to take part from the Parklands area, Sauser said.

On June 17, Deer Park will host the Parkland College 'Dollars for Scholars' tournament. It is also one of the larger attractions during the summer with well over 100 people expected to participate. Two tournaments have been scheduled for July, both falling within three days of each other. On July 15, the Ultimate Par 3 tournament, and immediately following is the Coors Light Two-Person scramble running July 16-17.

The golf course should be busy in August with five events to mark on the calendar, including four different open tourneys, capped off with the Deer Park Men's Club Championship.

The Junior Open takes place on Aug. 4, the Men's Open on the weekend of Aug. 6-7, the Ladies Open is scheduled for Aug. 8 and the Seniors Open goes on Aug. 10. The Men's Club championship will run for two days at the end of the month (Aug. 20-21) and is open to all Deer Park men's club members as of Aug. 5. Tee times for the Saturday and Sunday will be approximately 8:30 a.m. Lunch and prizes will follow Sunday's round. Skins on both Saturday and Sunday. Men's night handicaps will be utilized. Cost to play is $35 which includes prizes, skins and lunch on Sunday. The deadline to sign up is Thursday before the tournament at 4 p.m.
