Canadian Wrestling鈥檚 Elite (CWE) made yet another stop in Yorkton last week (Tuesday, Sept. 29), and for good reason.
Every time the Winnipeg-based professional wrestling company comes to the city, the people of Yorkton show their overwhelming support.
Things weren鈥檛 different on September 29, as Yorkton residents showed up in droves to watch the middle show of the predominately female Girls, Girls, Girls Tour. 鈥淭onight鈥檚 stop in Yorkton was night five and it was the most successful stop on the tour so far,鈥 mentioned CWE owner and promoter Danny Warren. 鈥淭he people of Yorkton showed up in good numbers and they were a loud and boisterous crowd. Not only was it successful in terms of attendance, but in overall enthusiasm as well.
鈥淭he people of Yorkton love their wrestling, whether it is men or women, and we just love coming back here.鈥
Because of that wrestling love, Warren says CWE has decided to make one last stop in Yorkton in the 2015 calendar year, shortlisting the city as one of just three (including Winnipeg) that will see CWE action in December. 鈥淲e鈥檙e only doing a few towns on our December tour, three of them to be exact,鈥 said Warren, continuing, 鈥淵orkton is one of those three because the people here have been so supportive of everything we do so we鈥檙e very excited to come back here on December 2 and on into 2016.鈥
Rumoured to be coming to Yorkton on December 2 is Ring of Honor (ROH) star Silas Young, as well as many of the talented CWE stars. In addition, Warren suggested that there might be another big name that will be competing on the December tour. 鈥淭here might also be another headliner coming but as of yet we can鈥檛 release any information because we鈥檙e still dotting some 鈥業鈥檚 and crossing some 鈥楾鈥檚,鈥 said a grinning Warren, adding that they鈥檒l announce the signing sometime in the near future on their Facebook page: CWE Wrestling.
As for the Girls, Girls, Girls Tour, Warren believes that the ladies that wrestled did a good job in promoting women鈥檚 wrestling to an area of the country that had never before seen a female-based tour. 鈥淭hese girls on this tour have been absolutely incredible. Their work ethic is just as great, if not higher than most of, if not all of the boys,鈥 offered Warren. 鈥淭hey go in there and they bust their butts off. Unfortunately women鈥檚 wrestling had a bad stigma for so long and these girls are working very hard to overcome that.
鈥淭hey go in there and leave it all in the ring and they put on one heck of a show each and every night.鈥

Fan favourite Bambi Hall came out victorious in the evening鈥檚 opening match, besting both Sahara Se7en and Ashley Frost in a triple threat match despite continual double-team efforts by her two opponents.
The team of 鈥楬otshot鈥 Danny Duggan and Yorkton鈥檚 own Bull Bodnar showed 鈥楾he Rebel鈥 Bobby Collins and Jacob Creed the meaning behind tolerance, handing the confederate supporters a rough defeat when Bodnar flattened Collins with a falling powerslam.
The third contest of the night was arguably the best match of the event, as Aja Perera and Kat Von Heez went toe-to-toe for quite some time before Perera scored the victory when associate Sahara Se7en arrived at ringside to hold down Von Heez鈥檚 leg, thereby preventing a kickout before the count of three.
The two American women then viciously attacked Von Heez until Bambi Hall came out and challenged the two ladies to a tag team main event match with the stipulation that if Hall and Von Heez were to lose, neither of them would step foot in Yorkton again. Perera and Se7en accepted.
The fourth match of the event saw up-and-coming star Alexander Prime from Regina鈥檚 High Impact Wrestling (HIW) come in and secure the victory over a very game 鈥楬ot Prospect鈥 Travis Cole.
In the main event Kat Von Heez and Bambi Hall managed to cause a double tapout as both ladies locked submissions onto their opponents Sahara Se7en and Aja Perera, meaning both Von Heez and Hall can continue wrestling in Yorkton in the future.
