Saturday morning saw a group of local cheerleaders come together to celebrate the U.S All Star Federation’s National All Star Cheer and Dance Day. The idea of the day is to unite cheerleading programs all across the U.S. for a celebration of cheer and dance. It’s also seen as a growth initiative to attract new athletes to cheerleading. Yorkton’s cheerleaders took part in the two-hour clinic at YRHS, led by local coaches. The participants learned a short routine to one song, which was used by programs all around Canada and the U.S. Once the routine is taught, teams/clubs take a video and post it to social media. Then they can see routines by all groups who took part.
