CFF Terriers drop weekend pair

The Yorkton Crossfit Function Terriers bantam AA team played two games last weekend, but came out on the bottom of both. On Friday, the Prince Albert Venice House Pirates visited the Farrell Agencies Arena to take on the CFF Terriers.

The CrossFit Function Terriers face the Swift Current Kabos Broncos on Saturday afternoon at the Farrell Agencies Arena in Yorkton.

The Yorkton Crossfit Function Terriers bantam AA team played two games last weekend, but came out on the bottom of both. 

On Friday, the Prince Albert Venice House Pirates visited the Farrell Agencies Arena to take on the CFF Terriers. 

The final score of the game was 4-2. Yorkton’s two goals came from Kaidan Malysh and Carter Dereniwsky. Shots on goal were 48-18 for Prince Albert. Kael DePape played between the pipes for Yorkton, and stopped an impressive 44 shots.

The following day, the CFF Terriers would face the Swift Current Kabos Broncos, again at the FAA. 

There were no goals scored in the first period, but in the second Swift Current scored two to take the lead. 

Early in the third period, Castor Berezuik scored one for Yorkton to make the score close, but with two minutes left in the game, Swift Current capitalized on a power play to make the score 3-1, where it would stay. 

Landon Sorensen played in net for the CFF Terriers and stopped 41 of 44 shots on net from Swift Current. 

After this weekend, the CFF Terriers hold a 0-4 record. 

Their next game action will be this weekend, when they’ll play another two games in Yorkton. 

On Friday night, they’ll play West Central Wheat Kings at the Kinsmen Arena at 7:45. And on Saturday, they’ll host the Moose Jaw Warriors at the FAA at 4:30.
