It might have been tailgan te pig roast night at Jubilee Park tonight, but that did not help the Yorkton Cardinals on the field.

It might have been tailgan te pig roast night at Jubilee Park tonight, but that did not help the Yorkton Cardinals on the field.

As part of the Western Canadian Baseball League action between the host Yorkton Cardinals and the Okotoks Dawgs those attending the game could enjoy a meal of pulled pork and all the ‘fixins’ cooked up by the crew from Joe Beeverz, while Katie Morgan from Saltcoats performed live music, so the atmosphere was good as the first pitch was thrown.

But, from there it was downhill for the home side.

The Dawgs scored four in the first, then doubled down with four in the second before rolling to a 13-1 win.

Yorkton’s lone run came in the eighth inning, on a night the Cardinals managed only five hits.
