Canora athletes excel in provincial track championships in Regina

Rebecca Hort and Hudson Bailey, Canora Composite School students, traveled to Regina to participate in the provincial track championships on June 10-11.

            Rebecca Hort and Hudson Bailey, Canora Composite School students, traveled to Regina to participate in the provincial track championships on June 10-11.

            Bailey competed in the bantam boys category, and captured the gold medal in the boys’ high jump with a personal best height of 1.55 metres.

            He placed second in the 800-metre run with another personal best, a time of 2 minutes, 28 seconds, and finished sixth in the long jump with 4.36 metres. 

            Hort competed in Junior Girls category. She placed 11th in the 100-metre dash with a time of 14.03 seconds, and third in the 400-metre hurdles thanks to a time of 14.03 seconds.
