The 2015 calendar year has seen Yorkton become one of the main stops for Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE).
Danny Warren, owner and promoter of CWE, says that Yorkton has not only become the lone Saskatchewan stop for his promotion, but has also become one of his favourite. “2015 was CWE’s biggest year yet and Yorkton has consistently been one of our biggest towns on our schedule and definitely one of the most welcoming,” suggested Warren. “We’ve truly started to become fixtures in the community with the work we are doing in the schools, and for me personally Yorkton has become a personal favourite and a town I always look forward to returning to.”
Because of that favouritism Yorkton has been frequented by former WWF/WWE, TNA and ROH stars such ‘Big Poppa Pump’ Scott Steiner, ‘The Darewolf’ PJ Black (formerly Justin Gabriel) and ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels and once again because of Warren’s love for the city, Yorkton will again play host to several big names on December 2 at Yorkdale Central School. “On paper this is one of our biggest cards yet and truly will be a wrestling classic,” said Warren. “The event features multiple time WWE Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas, Ring of Honor star Silas Young, New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Chase Owens, and Chicago’s Zero Gravity tag team make their Canadian wrestling debut.”
Card (subject to change)
Former WWE tag team champion Charlie Haas takes on Bullet Club member and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s ‘The Crown Jewel’ Chase Owens, Ring of Honor’s ‘The Last Real Man In Professional Wrestling’ Silas Young meets “Hotshot” Danny Duggan in the ring, Chicago’s Zero Gravity goes toe-to-toe with The Cannon Clan, Jacob Creed faces Mr. Inkredible, Yorkton’s own Bull Bodnar looks to crush ‘The Hot Prospect’ Travis Cole and then all the wrestlers from the card meet in the ring for the Rumble For Ron Tribute Battle Royal.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at Precious Therapies Vitamin Store (#14-3rd Ave. N) or online at www.diyobo.com.
Five dollars from every ticket purchased at Precious Therapies Vitamin Store will go to Yorkton resident Ron Rurak to help in his fight against cancer.
