A hot day on the racing tracks

Sunday’s temperature peaked at almost 30 degrees, which made it a hot and dusty day at Yellowhead International Speedway.

Sunday’s temperature peaked at almost 30 degrees, which made it a hot and dusty day at Yellowhead International Speedway. But those conditions didn’t stop the stock car racers from hopping in their cars and racing around the track on the second-last race day of the season.

With the end of the season nearing on Sept. 9-10 weekend, the overall standings for the season are neck and neck. Every race counts as they seek to find the overall champion of the 2017 season.Ìý

The next, and final, race is the two-day season closer on Sept. 9 and 10. The races will start at 2 p.m. both days, and both days will count towards the championship points. The close standings are sure to make for an exciting day.
