SASKATOON - Detectives with the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section, along with assistance from the Saskatchewan RCMP, arrested a woman Thursday in Jans Bay, Sask., in connection with a homicide that took place in Saskatoon in July.
She is facing a charge of second-degree murder and will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Friday
What began as a suspicious death investigation on the 1800 block of Avenue B North was soon after deemed to be the city’s fifth homicide of the year. The body of a 49-year-old male was located in the home July 15 and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At that stage of the investigation it appeared that the person or persons responsible were known to the victim.
