SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service is now investigating the suspicious death of an adult male last Sunday as a homicide, which is the sixth this year in the city.
The victim, after the autopsy, was identified as 39-year-old Kelly Dean Quewazance. The cause of death is not being released by SPS.
On Sunday, a passerby approached Saskatoon Fire Department firefighters, who were trying to put out a fire in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent West, to inform them that a person was lying down at the skate park.
Some of the SFD firefighters checked the adult male, who was found unresponsive and later died despite efforts to save his life.
SPS is also continuing its investigation into a second suspicious death that also happened on Sunday after the body of an adult female was discovered in the 1200 block of College Drive. The investigation is being done with the help of the Chief Coroner’s Office.
