Wondering what to do with your old telephone book? Bring your old SaskTel phone books to Saltcoats School by April 11, 2014. The SaskTel Pioneers send a refund to the school based on the number of telephone books collected!

Saltcoats Skating rink closed for the season on Sat., March 25. Great job everyone! We know it doesn't run without volunteers. See you in the fall!

A correction on the Anglican worship for Sun., March 30 at 11:00 a.m. in Esterhazy. This is the only service for the Parish of New Summer for that day.

Hall Walking will continue week days from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. until April 11, 2-14. If you would like to walk during those hours, but the door is locked, you can pick up the key from the town office.

"Proclamation" is a Canadian Bible Society program. Proclamation is the Public Oral Reading of the Bible. People representing the different faith communities of the Saltcoats area have planned a public reading of the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. This will be held from Fri., April 25 through to Sun., May 4 from 6:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m. each evening. This takes place in the Saltcoats Library or Stirling Room. Each reader will choose the version and language from which they'll read. Some read a few verses, others may read several chapters. Readings occur without commentary. Members of the proclamation committee will be seeking volunteer readers. If you would like to read, please call Edith Maddaford at 306-744-2216 or Sandra Kerr at 306-744-2977 to arrange time and scripture choice.

The Bible Society representative will be in Saltcoats Library on Mon., March 24, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with a display and information sharing. Everyone is welcome to this open house. A local kick off for the proclamation!

Saltcoats Minor Sports programs are run by volunteers. The main fundraiser is Bingo in Yorkton. They are looking for volunteer Bingo workers for April 26 and April 30 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Call Alison at 306-744-29058 if you can help out. There will be further dates as well as call and offer.

United Church office hours are Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. the Tuesday hours are just a ½ day from 8:30 to noon. Sunday, march 23 worship is 1 (one) for the whole Pastoral Charge at 10:00 a.m. in Bredenbury.

Looking for a creative outlet? Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. a group of like minded persons meet at Saltcoats United Church basement with own art supplies to share & have expressive fun.

Monthly Musical evening at Saltcoats Anglican Church will be Thurs., March 27 at 7:00 p.m. with Walter Farquharson. It is hoped he'll enlighten all about his hymn writing gift. Refreshments are provided.

Welcome Wagon hosts a Community "Meet and Greet" on Fri., April 4 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Saltcoats and District Community Hall. All are welcome, old and new! A time to mingle, play cards or other games. The Ag Society Albums will be on site.
