Outlook Harvest Festival Looking for Participation

Business-minded community event taking place in September

Less than two weeks after the community of Outlook celebrated Canada 150 with a memorable weekend, the Outlook & District Chamber of Commerce is putting the word out about another big event taking place this September, and they’re on the lookout for any businesses and non-profit organizations who are interested in taking part.

The Chamber of Commerce’s Harvest Festival is set to take place on Saturday, September 9, to be located in the business district of Franklin Street in Outlook.  The schedule of activities for the ‘locally minded, locally supported’ event includes a pancake breakfast, live entertainment throughout the day, supper, and a street dance.

The goal of the event is to provide a fun atmosphere for families and the public to enjoy, but also to help put a focus on local businesses and show what they offer the community.  As the slogan says, it’s about “businesses working together to bring the community together.â€

Organizers behind the scenes are asking interested businesses, home-based or otherwise, as well as non-profit groups to register for the festival before the deadline of July 21.  Registration forms can be picked up at AG Foods, A&E Enterprises, Home Hardware, Outlook Medical Pharmacy, and RE/MAX Shoreline Realty.

Proceeds from the event will be going toward involved local non-profit organizations.
