In 1933, an exhibit at the Yorkton Fair featured two photos of Floating Cloud or Pennepekeeshik, resident of Crooked Lake Reserve. It was on this occasion that Floating Cloud, now 83 years of age saw with great jubilation his pictures for the first time. He was so elated that he began dancing and later brought several friends over to view the exhibit - the photo facing the camera, and the other, a profile. Dr. Thomas Veitch Simpson, born in 1871, a Yorkton veterinarian, who was also an amateur photographer, took Floating Cloud's picture in 1903. Some of Dr. T.V. Simpson's photographs are lodged at the Glenbow Archives, but originals were also in the possession of his daughter Reta Deck, and great grand daughter, Gaylene Woolgar, née Magrath.
