A graduation program honouring the 27 senior students of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute was held June 29 under a mural proclaiming the theme: 鈥淲e all live under the same sky, but we don鈥檛 all have the same horizon.

Drivers of 20 trucks and 11 all-terrain vehicles sloshed through the mud at the highest speeds they could muster, eager to win some of the $2,200 in prizemoney that was offered at the Canada Day mud boggin鈥� competition in Kamsack.

Riverside Golf Club is embarking on a fundraising program with the objective of raising $50,000. 鈥淲e鈥檇 like to see at least half of that amount raised before the end of the season, Darryl Binkley, club president, said last week.

Five slo-pitch teams joined the Kamsack Royals to compete in the Canada Day tournament. Teams were from Swan River, Dauphin, Preeceville, Melville and Canora, said Eugene Krawetz, an organizer.

The group of students who make up the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute鈥檚 2015 graduating class is all about servitude to others, said Wendy Shabatoski, the guest speaker at the graduation program.

鈥淭oday I will do the things that others won鈥檛, so tomorrow I can accomplish the things that others can鈥檛,鈥� was the slogan used by the Norquay School鈥檚 senior class of 2015 during its graduation ceremony held May 29.
