KAMSACK — Kamsack RCMP received a call of a female who stole a vehicle from her family. The direction of travel was unknown.

Later in the evening Kamsack RCMP received a call from another detachment stating that they had located the vehicle. The driver had gotten into an accident, was ejected from the vehicle and later passed away while on route to the hospital.

Bike patrols

Kamsack RCMP got back on their bicycles for bike patrols last week. Two full days of good weather allowed members to conduct these patrols, which went over well with people in the town. Bike patrols allow for faster responses to calls, which benefits the community as well as the RCMP.

Funeral procession

A funeral was held in Togo for a volunteer that has assisted Kamsack RCMP with events for many years. It was requested by the family to have RCMP members lead the funeral procession.

Fight gone wrong

Kamsack RCMP responded to a male who had been knocked out. When members attended the residence, they were advised that the male had been unconscious for approximately 40 minutes. The male was breathing and rushed to Yorkton hospital where he was later taken to Regina hospital for his injuries.
